The idea that Honda Europe has proposed to their three Superbike teams (Ten Kate, Klaffi and DFXtreme) could be viable for all manufacturers. According to Garret Ten Kate, his team will work with Pectal PI to offer to all Honda teams an ECU including traction control, anti-wheelie and launch control that will take into consideration even the angle of inclination. Garret believed on Saturday afternoon at Silverstone that such as a system could be offered to all Honda teams at 16,000 euros (about $20,000) and that this service would include a support from a technician who would consult with teams and advice them much as current tire and suspension technicians.
On Sunday afternoon Carlo Fiorani of Honda Europe confirmed the general plan but said the price for full technical support would be more like 40,000 euros ($50,000).
