Mick replied: "I guess it depends on what Haga wants to do. There's talk he may stay in Moto GP, or perhaps go back to World Superbikes. Haga is a good rider, and I'm sure his results in 500s this year do not show his true ability. He's had some trouble adapting to 500s, but if he stays and learns I think he can be a competitive rider. He was one of the best guys in World Superbikes, and it will be interesting to see how his career unfolds from here. Whether he gets an M1 is up to Yamaha I guess, if he stays with them."
m41 fragte folgendes: Ich möchte wissen, was Mick von Nori Haga denkt und ob er denkt, dass Haga es verdient hat, eine YZR-M1 zu fahren nächstes Jahr.
Mick antwortete: "Ich denke es kommt auf Haga an, was er tun will. Es gehen Gerüchte um, dass er im MotoGP bleibt oder vielleicht doch zurück zu den Superbikes geht. Haga ist ein guter Fahrer, ich bin sicher dass seine Resultate in diesem Jahr nicht sein wahres Können wiederspiegeln. Er hatte ein paar Probleme, sich an die 500er anzupassen. Wenn er aber bleibt und lernt denke ich, kann er ein konkurrenzfähiger Fahrer sein. Er war einer besten bei den Superbikes und es wird interessant zu sehen wie sich sein Karriere von nun an entwickelt. Ob er eine M1 bekommt, denke ich, ligt an Yamaha, wenn er bei ihnen bleibt.
