“My first impression with the 999 is that it's very different to the 998" said Hodgson. "The engine feels better and the dual swinging-arm makes the suspension completely different to what I was used to. I'm already really looking forward to next season's World Superbike Championship," said Hodgson, who finished third in the 2002 series. "The 999 has got a lot of potential and it can improve a lot more so I think that in the next 3 or 4 tests we will be able to turn a good bike into a fantastic one.”
The next planned test for the all-new 999, and the prodigal Hodgson will be in Spain, at Valencia on 22 and 23 October.
